Meet Ilana Zaks
Described as “fearless, refreshing and commanding” (Boston Music Intelligencer), Jewish-American violinist Ilana Zaks is a fourth-generation musician and educator from Boston. Based in Central Florida, she is a frequent traveler along the East Coast for teaching sessions, performances, and collaborations. She has performed with the Seattle and Pittsburgh Symphonies, Seattle Opera, and currently teaches at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute and the Rollins Community School of Music. A Yale and New England Conservatory graduate, she is the creator of Sound Worlds, a multimedia solo violin project blending storytelling and film.
